Content Publishing Guidelines
These are a few guidelines for approving and publishing content on DoublePlusHuman.com. They are meant to prevent the content steering in directions which are off the mark with regards to the stated purpose of DoublePlusHuman.com and its unique service proposition.
1. Content must fit any of the existing categories or subcategories well. If not, don't publish or approve.
If it is an article that might fit the general category of "technology", but does not fit any of the article-types, which are deemed as a form of subcategories, then the article is probably not fit to publish.
2. Content must be directly relevant to the pursuit of personal growth, personal freedom or social change, ideally all of these at once.
Even if it fits in a category and subcategory, if there is no obvious relevance of its core meaning and subject matter to these three main objectives then it cannot be published. The reason it should ideally fit all of them at once is because this adds the uniqueness to the kind of content that can be predominantly found here in that it isn't just about improving yourself or just about liberating yourself or just about social activism of some sort, but about combining all of these into an unique concept that we can dub as "DoublePlusHuman". First you become more self aware and success oriented, then you liberate yourself completely and then such as you are you change the world by example and influence.
3. Content should in some way be valuable and useful, ideally in a practical sense, to the reader. If it isn't obvious, the article should point out at least one way in which the reader could make use of the presented information or ideas.
The idea is to provide as much value as possible and the best bet at providing value is with content that has a practical dimension to it, something a reader can do him or her self to gain something in his or her life. This should help attract more readers and keep the coming back longer, thus increasing the effectiveness of this project.
4. The tone of the posts should lean to the positive side. Be more pro than anti.
Promoting what is considered good is expected to drive better results and inspire more people and keep them inspired in longer term than promoting opposition to what is considered bad. Latter is also a way of giving the bad more publicity. While it is alright to sometimes express a staunch stance against something, expression of that should not dominate. This site more about being DoublePlusHuman than about being anti-inhuman. It's more about being good than about being against evil.
5. Keep the unique service proposition of DoublePlusHuman.com in mind, in short; Self improvement and personal freedom for social change.
Longer version is: "DoublePlusHuman.com serves information about self improvement, personal freedom and world change that we can as such effect in form of articles and various kinds of media. Our means are philosophy (rational and clear thinking), technology (opening new possibilities, empowering individuals to do more with less) and culture (creating new memes). We combine self improvement and liberation for ultimate social change.
If the content in question cannot be said to sufficiently contribute to the providing of such a service then it's probably not worth publishing.
6. Keep with the general agenda. No content which in any way promote violence or coercion, no matter how legitimately sounding. No articles which promote belief based solely on blind faith.
